'Heartbroken': Actress Alexis Arquette dies at 47

Actress and transgender activist Alexis Arquette has died at the age of 47.
The actress - sibling of actors David, Rosanna, Richmond and Patricia Arquette - died on Sunday morning.
In a statement Richmond Arquette said Alexis was surrounded by family who sang David Bowie's Starman as she passed away.
He said: "She left before we were ready to let her go.
"We are all heartbroken she is no longer with us, but we are grateful for the grace and kindness we were all shown during this difficult time."

A cause of death was not given.
During her career Alexis appeared in Pulp Fiction, Last Exit To Brooklyn, Of Mice and Men and The Bride of Chucky.
She also had roles on the small screen in Roseanne, Friends and Californication.
Born Robert Arquette, Alexis transitioned to become a woman in 2006 - an experience which was documented in a film which screened at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.
She went on to become an activist for transgender rights.
Richmond Arquette said his sister's decision to "live her truth" as a transgender woman effectively ended her career.
He said: "Despite the fact that there are few parts for trans actors, she refused to play roles that were demeaning or stereotypical.
"She was a vanguard in the fight for understanding and acceptance of all trans people."
Richmond added: "As Alexis transitioned into being a woman, she taught us tolerance and acceptance.
"As she moved through her process she became our sister, teaching us what real love is."
In one of her smaller roles Alexis Arquette played a Boy George impersonator in The Wedding Singer.
Boy George was among a number of celebrities who paid tribute.
Courteney Cox, who was married to Alexis' brother David for 14 years, tweeted: "My heart goes out to anyone who was lucky enough to know Alexis.
"We will love and miss you forever."
David Arquette added: "Thank you all for your love and kind words about Alexis.
"My hero for eternity."

Explorers solve maritime mystery and find HMS Terror shipwreck

Explorers have discovered the wreck of HMS Terror - the ill-fated British explorer ship that vanished in the Arctic in 1845 during an expedition to Canada's Northwest Passage.
The Arctic Research Foundation says the vessel was found on 3 September and is a "perfect time capsule", as the ship's helm is in pristine condition.
HMS Terror was discovered 24 metres underwater in Terror Bay on the coast of King William Island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago - exactly where an Inuit hunter said it would be.
The ship, under the command of Sir John Franklin, had set out to find the long-sought shortcut to Asia that ran from the Atlantic to the Pacific via the ice-choked Arctic.
But he and his 128 crew died after the ship became stuck in ice.
The wreck of another ship on the expedition, HMS Erebus, was discovered two years ago.
It is thought to be the worst tragedy in the history of Arctic exploration.
The fate of HMS Terror has long been the subject of novels, poems and songs.
Stories handed down by the aboriginal Inuit people tell tales of cannibalism among the seamen.
There are no plans to raise the two ships, which lie about 31 miles apart.
Eight years ago, Canada unveiled a multi-million dollar venture to search for the ships.
It was part of the Canadian government's plan to assert sovereignty over the Northwest Passage.
Other countries, including the US, claim the passage lies in international territory.

Jeremy Corbyn's seat at risk under plans to reduce number of MPs

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said he is "very unhappy" that the Islington North constituency he has represented for 33 years could disappear as part of a shake-up of parliamentary boundaries.
The political map of all four nations of the United Kingdom will be redrawn so each seat will contain an average of 75,000 voters - and the number of MPs will be reduced from 650 to 600.
The constituencies earmarked for extinction will be absorbed by their neighbours to save £66m over five years, as well as giving equal weight to each seat.
Constitution minister Chris Skidmore says the Government is "committed to ensuring fair and equal representation for the voting public across the UK".

The initial proposals for England and Wales will be the subject of public consultation before the final map is submitted in 2018 to be used in the next election in 2020.
A number of other high-profile politicians may have to fight to keep their place in the Commons, including Education Secretary Justine Greening, former chancellor George Osborne and Labour leadership contender Owen Smith, whose Pontypridd seat would be merged with neighbouring Cynon Valley.
Under the proposals, twice as many seats held by the Labour Party would be affected compared with those represented by Conservative MPs.
Labour shadow minister Jon Ashworth described the changes as "unfair, undemocratic and unacceptable", adding: "They are based on an out-of-date version of the electoral register with nearly two million voters missing."

A spokesman said Mr Corbyn would see many of his Islington North supporters shift to the new constituency of Finsbury Park and Stoke Newington, so there's "every reason to believe" he will remain in Parliament.
The concern for many Labour backbenchers facing reselection who voted against the leader is that the grassroots movement Momentum might field candidates more sympathetic to Mr Corbyn's cause.
The number of MPs will be cut from 533 to 501 in England, from 59 to 53 in Scotland, from 40 to 29 in Wales and 18 to 17 in Northern Ireland.
Scotland's Boundary Commission will publish its proposals on 20 October.

Why Miley Cyrus Won’t Ever Do a Red Carpet Again

Miley Cyrus is known for walking her own path. From her fashion choices to her music, there’s no denying the former Disney Channel star has blossomed into a free spirit in recent years, open to speaking her mind on a range of issues.

In a recent interview for the October issue of Elle, Cyrus spoke about the entertainment industry, explaining that she refuses to plug in to one major aspect of celebrity culture: red carpets. “[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again,” she told Elle. “Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit—it’s like Zoolander.”

The 23-year-old Bangerz artist also revealed how she plans to motivate her contestants on The Voice during her upcoming first season as a judge. “I don’t want this to come off the wrong way, but I’m going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders,” she said. “Be the person people want and love. Don’t worry about the masses. That’s how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it.”
