Authorities in the Chinese city of Shanghai have decided not to hold New Year celebrations on the historic Bund this year after a stampede last year left 36 people dead and dozens more injured.
A huge crowd had gathered on the riverfront to ring in 2015 but the evening turned to tragedy when a crush occurred around midnight.
Huang Yuyao is a 19-year-old college student who was on the Bund that night.
