Here is what we can expect from the sixth named storm of the season:
:: An intense low pressure system will pass to the North West of the UK, towards Iceland, but its trailing front will bring heavy rain and strong winds to the North and West through Tuesday night and Wednesday.
:: Initially heavy rain will spread to Northern Ireland, the Republic and perhaps the Western Isles of Scotland by this evening. Elsewhere should be fine today.
:: Tonight the rain will then spread to mainland Scotland, northern England, Wales and the west. Heavy outbreaks are expected, especially across northwest England, central and southwest Scotland.
:: Tomorrow the rain will continue over most of Scotland, Wales and the north and west of England. Ireland will become drier by the afternoon.
:: High rainfall totals are expected - 20-40mm widely with 80mm possible over high ground and 100-150mm for parts of southwest Scotland and Cumbria.
:: Winds will also be strong through tonight and tomorrow, with gusts of 55-65mph and up to around 80mph across exposed parts of the west, especially across northwest Scotland and Shetland later.
:: Although the rain won't be as much as what parts of the North West received in early December, it will be falling on already saturated ground - therefore it will still lead to significant problems, with further flooding likely.
