Star Wars Soars Past $1bn At Record Pace

Walt Disney's juggernaut crossed the mark in just 12 days - beating Jurassic World, which took 13 days to accomplish the feat over the summer.
Jurassic World also had the benefit of record box office receipts in China.
The Force Awakens is not set to open in China - the world's second-largest movie market - until 9 January.
The seventh instalment of the popular franchise also posted the biggest Christmas Day box office taking in US history with $49.3m and the best second weekend draw after taking an estimated $150m.
The record-setting film scored the biggest worldwide box office debut with $529m.
Daddy's Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, managed to take in $35m over the holiday weekend.
Joy, which reunites Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, debuted at $17.5m after opening in less than 2,900 theatres across the US.
At the other end of the spectrum, Point Break, a $105m remake of the 1991 Kathryn Bigelow cult favourite, took just $10.2m at the box office.
