Tons Of Scrap On Fire In Huge Birmingham Blaze

More than 100 firefighters are battling a blaze at a recycling centre in Birmingham.
More than 800 tonnes of mixed plastic, rubber and metal are on fire in the Saltley area, about 2km (1.2 miles) from the centre.
At one point, smoke could be seen miles away from the site in Clarel Avenue.
West Midlands Fire Service said 17 engines have been sent to the scene and people are being advised to avoid the area.

The facility is near a railway line and the fire service said it was liaising with Network Rail in case of any impact on the train services.
