"If you could time travel, would you go forward or backward?"
Ban Ki-moon was asked that question in his first live Facebook interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The United Nations Secretary-General replied: "If I was given that opportunity I'd like to travel back to the past, to see whether at that time we could have prevented all this violence, wars and poverty - what [chances] had we missed to take action?
"But after that I'd also like to time travel into the future to see whether we had kept our promises made in the past. I'd really love to be given that kind of opportunity".
