Celine Dion received a number of standing ovations as she performed her Las Vegas show for the first time since the death of her husband Rene Angelil.
The Canadian singer was plucked out of obscurity by the 73-year-old who propelled her to fame before marrying her in 1994.
Dion said returning to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace has been an emotional time.
"Throughout my life, I only had eyes for my husband, who sat out here, night after night.
"People thought that I was looking at him actually but I didn't have to, I didn't need to, because every time I closed my eyes, I felt Rene on stage with me," Dion told the audience as she fought back tears.
Angelil, who was Dion's manager in 1981-2014, died on 14 January of heart and cancer-related issues.
Dion herself had fought an illness that has caused inflammation in her throat muscles when she cancelled her performances in both Las Vegas and Asia in August 2014.
The couple had three children together - Rene-Charles, who was born in 2001 and twins Nelson and Eddy, who were born in 2010.
